There was another case recently of someone claiming to have invented Davros in a Blue Peter competition and the BBC 'stole' their idea, I haven't heard any more what happened there. I'm sure the all powerful BBC will be in the clear on both counts though.

In those days it came under 'work for hire' and the BBC often payed a flat fee for an idea, with no royalties. The guy who designed the Daleks only ever earnt £200 for his work.
Yeah I was aware of that with Ray Cusick (RIP), he came up with the design but Terry Nation made a fortune for The Daleks, sure he came up with the idea but Cusick came up with the iconic design. I would suggest it's fairly common that creative people get less credit than they are due, life don't talk to me about life (wrong show I know).

Yes H_J great to see Paul McGann as The Doctor again, whilst I wasn't a huge fan of the TV movie, I had no problem with McGann as The Doctor and in fact think he deserved more of a chance than he got.
