^ That is odd... that you have that option. I just logged on as a "test" member (ie non admin) that I use, and saw the "Dismiss" as an option.. but it was also there for other threads I think?
I chose it and it didn't seem to do anything with the thread but I did lose the options on each thread. Weird...

You can see it, HJ, if you let your cursor hover over the message on the discussion page (perfect idea, really, for something like FAQs - the only question is does the thread come back if you update it (maybe only if you add a post?)).

So, did you get rid of the stickiness, HJ? It's not sticking on mine any more. You know what would be really nice is if it just stuck until someone read it. That way, you could do a host of them for new members (like this thread or whatever) and, once read, the would drop down and get out of the way.

It´s not necessarily an understatement, Carp. I hear some porridge spoons can be quite big! And sticky, for that matter...
