Sydney Morning Herald:These are principally fictional stories with the exception of Clay and Hourglass: the former inspired by a trip to Iceland and the latter sparked by an Irish tale of a woman who gave up her child. ("It's f---ing tragic.") Interestingly, while Goldfrapp is a writer with the ability to cut and hurt, these stories have tenderness to them.

maybe something of the bonus CD in the boxset? or maybe they got it wrong... it says clay was inspired by a trip to iceland, thats not right is it? -
I'm not sure, but Alvar was inspired by Alison's trip to Iceland
