  • BoJo the Clown as a Foreign Secretary is purely strategic and follows the "keep your enemies close" idiom. Let's face it BoJo will screw up big time in the next 18 months (or sooner) and will be required to commit political harakiri.
What if the Hokey Cokey is what it's all about?
  • Just spotted this on Fartbook

  • BoJo will look perfectly normal once we get Trump on the world stage.

  • You know, in my opinion, this was the last time the UK really had its shit together. No squabbling, no petty infighting, all pulling together and we were on top of the world!
It saddens me that what we had forged at this time we have since pissed away. All we have are memories.
With and without the commentary and some great vignettes of London. Was it really 4 years ago?

  • There is an argument that all the money that was spent on the Olympics only served to stir up the wrong kind of nationalistic pride....we invented the industrial revolution etc. Huh. And now look.
    Just grumpily saying.
  • My, you are grumpy!
I felt a great deal of pride watching the London 2012 Olympics and I feel for a week or two after, I suffered a sort of grieving that it was over. Unlikely to ever have an event of that global magnitude happen again in the Uk again in my lifetime, well, at least not a pleasant one!

  • You know, I was just pondering that, in the long run, from an historical perspective, that that may lead to Britain gaining its foothold back, really.  I'm not real familiar with the EU situation but it doesn't seem really stable.  Just saying ... and not based on a lot of evidence.  The immigration thing has confused the issue greatly.

But ok, it is. I'm grumpy lol.

The state of the UK right now is anything but stable Whickwithy. I'd be surprised if Britain could even move a leg up, never mind get a foothold. The EU wasn't perfect basically but the way it's been dealt with over the last 6 months is a perfect example of unnecessary, dramatic escalation.

  • And, yeah, I kinda am of the "Heidi" clan, Kat.  Not sure the industrial revolution was such a good thing.
  • On the subject, did anyone witness Theresa May transition into full-on Pantomime Villain in PMQ's today?

  • Lol. She'd be great as Cruella D'Ville wouldn't she!

WW- ah, Heidi. My favourite book as a child. I wanted to sleep in a barn on a bed made of sweetened hay, listening to cowbells and scoffing Swiss chocolate. Very Felt Mountain. No wonder I'm such a cynical old bag now- I used Timotei as a teenager and nothing happened!
