  • I've just watched Starter for 10 on the TV, it was an OK but not great movie. There were certainly at least a couple of anomalies in the soundtrack though, set in 1985/6 and featuring a couple of tracks from The Cure- Disintegration (1989) for example.

  • Battle: Los Angeles.

Shouting marines you don't care about shooting things you never really get to see in as noisy and shakily filmed way as possible while ensuring they get their stereotype checklists ticked as required.

No, that isn't a recommendation. It was free on Film4 HD and only just worth the no money.

  • I haven't been compelled to watch that Carp, I think I noticed it was on Channel 4 too about a week ago. Thanks for the warning, I've suspected it wasn't going to be my cup if tea, maybe one day I will find myself watching it though ;)

  • I was about 15min from the end and I'd stopped caring if they saved LA or not. Never a good sign :))

  • Haha I  thought the character Sara Goldfarb in Requiem For a Dream quite a close one for some reason

    Hilarious!

(Though they weren't references as much as the focus of the film's parody.)
