Hows the new album coming along ?
Ooft, rather glad to have had 2 hours' journey left on a Polish train in the dark after having run out of paperback, and remembered I've not, I think, even looked at this forum this year! So at least there's one respect in which 2017…

Respect for The Moog
The Moog definitely did. To this day I'm still a bit scared of Evil Edna and therefore by extension any tellies on legs, with sticky-outy aerials on top...

I don't really know either - I don't know Fox & their ilk well enough (largely by repute), but you may be right. As far as climate change is concerned, denial or no denial, it doesn't seem to have any substantial impact on Brits…

It seems the UK political process is working just about as well as the U.S. version. I hate to endorse a conspiracy theory but it seems to me that the conservative parties have found a way to rig the system. In the U.S., at least, it is fairly …

Great topic! This moved me- “Something changes the moment you decide you’ve found a person you are ready to reveal parts of your soul to. Something stands out and makes the moment unique. A profound multidimensional clarity resembling a piece of ca…

Fair dos, UT. I still remember being told off by Sister Philip in primary school at the age of about five for preferring to draw diesel or electric trains rather than steam ones! Strangely prescriptive and judgemental at times, some of these Catho…

What's Your Local?
OK, some bad pictures of my locale, viz. Wharfedale, Yorkshire... one of my village, and one a bit of a bus ride and a walk away, so may be cheating...

Oof, no, 'fraid not! Steam always seems a bit Daily Mail to me, but I'm sure that's pure prejudice... PS I'm sad enough to know the first picture is however Grosmont. Fantastic chippy in Whitby, just down the line.

They have a certain majesty; one of power and potential. If memory serves, they weigh around 350 tons ? When they get going, the potential in that mass on the move is indeed impressive. Just over 100, in fact - but then there's whatever you ho…

How did you get into Goldfrapp?
For me, the answer is: very, nay glacially, slowly, but unstoppably and inevitably! I think that in about the mid-2000s I was thinking to myself that I wasn't listening to enough music any more - being as I was in my mid-30s and so feeling too…
