  • Just to let you know I visited today, dusted, let the cat out, emptied the bins. I checked the fridge and the milk had gone off so I've put another 4 pint in there. Anyone who had mail I've put it in your slot but it was mostly circulars. Alison's been in and has attached some new pictures onto the notice board. I think she's up to something as she's visiting a lot of different places to probably collect some ideas for new songs.
Anyway, it's all ok at the moment. Thought I would let you all know.

  • Oh, I bought a nice red vinyl copy of Hunter by Anna Calvi on vinyl this week. Still to listen to it but I saw her hour long set on BBC 6 music's week-end and she was fabulous.

  • All the young folk are living in these new fangled 'pods', apparently. I prefer the old ways. Like Miss Haversham, I remain in this mansion, decaying gently with it, my wedding dress growing steadily more faded and frayed.
  • Was it you who left the Pizza crust in the sink?

  • Just realised that this place is like a holiday camp out of season. Now, it's Winter or early spring. A few peeps are about, keeping things turning over, then we hit the Summer of a new album and the place will be thronging again. I spotted @LuDux yesterday, but we never exchanged a greeting and then I saw something moving about in the shadows this morning, which I am sure was @Iuventus. Perhaps it was he that left the pizza crust in the sink!

  • @PonyGurl's room has been empty for a month now. Perhaps she's on vacation?
Anyway, apparantly I've got a gutter to clear as there are some weeds growing in it. Don't want the water to come over the top and leak down onto that stone floor in the entrance!

No. I eat nothing but wedding cake and melancholy
  • Did somebody say "pizza"?
If I were dead, could I do this?

As I approached Miss Havisham, I noticed she was unshaven. The 5 o'clock shadow had drifted into 7, possibly 8. She was dressed in rich materials, satin, lace and silks- all in white, a snowstorm of a woman. She wore a long white veil dependent of her hair, which was at least 50 shades of grey. Half-eaten boxes of Lindt truffles littered the once grand hall of the dilapidated mansion, and it was then that I knew. I knew that Miss Havisham had gorged herself on the half-priced Easter candy...

  • Like migrating birds, returning to their hollows; their niches; their nests of mud. Like Salmon, gamely returning to the waters in which they were spawned. Like the myriad of creatures on the Veld; returning to their ancestral watering holes.
That @ device is very powerful!

  • For me, it was the pizza.
