  • Hells. Your parents have known you from birth. Much as you think you have been discrete, I would be surprised if they are as ignorant of your situation as you assume. One would hope they are more empathic towards you than that.

  • U_T, many parents, of older generations in particular, prefer to live
the lie. Generally, one knows when, if ever, it is safe to come out.
Occasionally, however, one would be surprised at how receptive and
    accepting one's parents can be.

If I were dead, could I do this?
  • Connecting the dots, once again ... and, I see.  Cryptography in the  extreme or is that double entendres? Same thing, I guess.
  • After the week or two weeks ive had with so called parents im telling you now. If they start giving you abuse f**k em. They are related to you by blood. That's it. You can't choose your family unfortunately.
  • Sometimes insights bring answers, sometimes they just highlight the problems.  That sucks.  In either case, better than being in the dark.  And, there you go, once again, infini entendre.   Almost like nested entendres and as exhilarating, cryptic, and euphoric as writing poetry.

  • imageMarried! All went well for Catherine and I on the Isle of Wight last week and we have now tied the knot. She doesn't want me to post a picky of us, so here's one of Boo in her bridesmaid dress! Jake wore a dapper tweed bow tie!
  • I scrawled Just Married in the dust on my car window:

When we returned to the car someone must have spotted the Gsldfrapp sticker and the rainbow badge on my dashboard as they had added their names - John and Brian, so I assume they had just married too! Good luck to them!
  • That is one beautiful dress and one beautiful dog i have to say. Please post a picture of Jake too. Gold is such a nice colour. I wore a gold dress as my moms bridesmaid many years ago.
  • Congrats Kat & Cat!!!
Much love from the Urban Tribesmen and Dakota, the Dark Destroyer!

  • Fantastic! Many congratulations, Kat. I'll raise a glass to you before bedtime!

  • Best Wishes to you and your partner Kat. Xx
  • Right!  It's supposed to be best wishes!  Errr, at least theoretically.

  • Sorry?
  • Well, it's a little tricky when it is two women but, in a heterosexual union, one says "Congratulations" to the groom and "Best Wishes" to the bride.  Yours seemed more appropriate.  By the way, I find that difference in wedding greetings for the man and the woman fascinating.  Makes me laugh, really.  Actually, it's rather sad and true and reflective of the human environment better than most psychologists or lengthy pronouncements..
