    I just mean the breeding. He couldn't survive without constant human care. It's like those hens that are bred so breast heavy that they can't walk.
    If I were dead, could I do this?

    Highlights in the garden this morning

    * a fledgling Dunnock being fed (they have interesting family structures - some are monogamous, others polyandrous, others four-parent families).
    * a pair of bullfinches feeding on dandelion seedheads
    * an orange tip butterfly
    * a Blackbird singing
    * bumblebees in Aquilegia flowers

    And yesterday evening, at least a dozen Common Pipistrelles hawking the trees

    Got a resident stoat this year and ( wouldn't you know it!) the moles are back again!!!!
