Near to where I live is part of the Torus project. One of my neighbours works on it. He says it uses a trace element in seawater and the only waste is water. They're currently at a position where they're getting out significantly more energy than is put in. They ultimately want to scale it up large enough to provide similar energy to the current power stations, however the funding from this country is sadly lacking - although I believe it is a joint European project. South Korea, China & other Far East nations are pouring billions into their own similar development. I can't understand why this literally renewable source isn't given the importance it deserves - limitless clean power seems a real possibility now.

That's awesome news. I guess it is still more costly to generate that energy than is feasible, otherwise, it seems that would be huge news.pascho said:They're currently at a position where they're getting out significantly more energy than is put in.
