Mahler is a mess. A glorious mess, but a mess nonetheless.

Actually even more intrigued now. Will certainly have to grab something and see what transpires.
A million fires before your harvest comes. To burn out.
Wear the mask of a heathen. For the moon's lonely eyes.

Not again, jozzy! Scarborough Fair is a folk song (more closely related to rock and roll than classical), specifically in traditional ballad form.

  • Tip: Chilly Gonzales' Solo Piano II (Deluxe is on iTunes with several extra tracks) - masterpiece!
“Beware of artists. They mix with all classes of society and are therefore most dangerous." — Queen Victoria
  • Not into classical too much tbh. One i do like is called, Conquest of Paradise. Used to always be played at the Rugby.
    JAMIE CARRAGHER= LEGEND
  • This young fella...!

He's debuting Christian Lindberg's clarinet concerto now or soon.

  • And the second movement. Check out the perfection with which he executes circular breathing in the passage beginning just after the 4-minute mark. Amazing!

  • Oh, no! I totally cannot afford to fall in love again at this time.

If I were dead, could I do this?
  • A little Beau Soir for Folklore. (It's not Joshua Bell's violin version though) This classic written by Debussy, means "Beautiful Evening". It was inspired by a poem by Paul Bourget.

When the rivers are rosy in the setting sun,
And a warm shiver runs over the wheat fields,
Advice to be happy seems to rise up from things
And climb toward the troubled heart.
Advice to taste the charm of being in the world
While one is young and the evening is beautiful,
For we are going away, as this stream goes away:
The stream to the sea, we to the grave.

  • Arvo Pärt? Ok, so what about "Fratres"?
Saw that live once with Anne-Sophie Mutter, absolutely fantastic.

Apart from that - Waltzes from Chopin (and yes: I got a crush on Alice Sara Ott)
    :x

Grieg - Peer Gynt (Death of Aase, Solveig's song)

    Chopin Nocturne no.1 B-flat minor
