As its International Womens Day i challenge all the females and males in the house to post a picture of a woman who you feel is inspirational, motivational, strong and fearless. Let's honour the power of the female in a world where we can still be viewed as the weaker sex.
I decided to upload the famous wartime landgirls poster because as you know I'm a keen history enthusiast. I think female empowerment really took off during the war. Women had to be strong. They had to go above and beyond being a wife and mother.
Without the hard graft of women during the war and their efforts we would have been wiped out.
That pic makes me think of the unevolved prefrontal cortex in males compared to females. This area of the brain is larger and more developed in the female- which makes women much better leaders.
The front part of the brain, the prefrontal cortex, is remodelled last. The prefrontal cortex is the decision-making part of the brain, responsible for the ability to plan and think about the consequences of actions, solve problems and control impulses. This area of the brain is not only smaller in men, it deteriorates much quicker with age. The reason for much of the horror in this world is due, in essence, to brain underdevelopment in men.
