    okay. I'm officially starting to get excited about next week, been looking at pictures and reviews of the mitre, which I notice has a residents bar :)

    not been able to find too much info about the eating there apart from breakfast is possibly overpriced.

    there is a proper greasy spoon, the abegeldie cafe five minutes away, so I might get a review in :D or the moon under the water, a wetherspoons, five minutes down the road for cheap and cheerful
    also the earth cafe is a Buddhist venture nearby

    @tweety glad you are checking out breakfast venues, if I don't get mine shortly after I get up I'm liable to be cranky!

    All hotels in Ireland have a residents bar, isn't that the way of the world??

    I booked a brekky with the hotel , considering my own cooking , I expect that my pathetically low standards will be met .

    Just have to strongarm them to stay open :D , I only have to sober up for Saturday....actually no I don`t .

    It would be great if people did decide to have drinks/chat in the Mitre bar, as I'm gonna arrive in Manchester later than most (6pm), and will head straight to the Mitre, and don't want to miss people! Not sure when ppl will head to the venue?

    Oh, and is anyone besides me & Una gonna wear anything special? Come on folks, it's a once-only event!

    if anyone knows of other good brekkie places aswell as the abergeldie, shout please. i'm not stayng at the mitre and certainly don't fancy 3 lots of ibis soggy scrambled egg'd mush at the place i am staying!

    With the number of us at the Mitre and at the gig I'd imagine the same thing will happen as at other meet-ups - once a few people start to spot each other it makes the 'clump of Frappers' more obvious for others to notice.....which then makes it even more obvious.....which then etc etc.

    I'd imagine there'll be no problem a lot of us meeting a lot of us!
