As a long time watcher of The Simpsons (though irregular watcher), I was sad to read this because she was one of my favourite characters.
Marcia Wallace, who provided the voice for schoolteacher Edna Krabappel on The Simpsons, died on Friday at the age of 70.

I hadn't heard, I also love The Simpsons sporadically, always have time for The Simpsons. I hear a major character is going to be leaving The Simpsons and assumed by the way I heard this news it was going to be on the Simpson family members,

I remember her as the receptionist on The Bob Newhart Show. I think I remember her surviving cancer some years ago.

^ Yes, I suppose after his serious liver problems (he had a transplant in May), this shouldn't have been so much of a surprise. But I was still shocked to hear this... he seemed immortal. RIP Velvet Lou :-(

I knew about the liver transplant, but thought he was doing OK. I have thought so much about Laurie... And John.

I'm not. I thought I'd be able to cope after seeing them so many times in succession in the summer. However, now that Yellow Halo and Thea have entered the mix I feel like I am missing out. Also, You Never Know is definitely seems to be in favour at the mo and its definitely my favourite live track.
I'm saving my pennies just in case the infamous concert show inside a cinema actually happens.
Though we may deserve it, it will be worth it.
