He's got his own band going called Black Submarine who are getting prepped to release their debut album, so he's got commitments to that. You never know, they might end up being a supporting act on a wider tour next year.

Clay was the real stunner, they were all good, but I felt the bands strength really came out and Alison is just awe inspiring in her vocal performance, amazing stuff.

Halloween Jack and Carpy - Thanks much for the uploads! What absolutely wonderful performances. Band and strings sounded splendid and Alison was pretty much perfect (but what's new there?) I know they've been at it a while but the people at Jools' show do such a fine job with the sound design, lighting design and direction. If only all tv performances were this well produced.

Jesus H Christ. Tonights show has to be one of the worst Later I have ever seen. The Manics need to seriously go back to the wrist slitting hardcore edge they used to have instead of this melodious crap! Jake Bugg - passable for an arrogant shit, jazz singer with big glasses (actually she was the best of the evening even though I HATE jazz), Policia were OK I guess and the rest zzzzzzzzzz
