We had a place when I was little kid that we called Secret Lake where we used to go ice skating. For me, being a little kid surrounded by all of these older folks (teenagers), it was like this magical realm deep in the woods (the "lake" was probably less than 50 feet diameter, much smaller than the image I found). I guess the silly thing about it was that we also had Lake Saint Claire, one of the Great Lakes about the same distance from us but, at night, we would go to Secret Lake (Lake Saint Claire during the day), have a bonfire, skate for hours, then return home to something similar to the image above (not so grand, but a nice warm fireplace and a nice Christmas tree). Then, of course, there was the time I tried doing the same skating tricks that I did as a kid after I had grown up and not skated for a couple of decades. Let's just say, disaster.
The picture of the room above is magnificently gorgeous. I love it. It makes me feel all warm and cosy just looking at it. And the colours are eye popping
Seems about average, really. I'm going through a rather dispiriting time which has distracted me most of this week. I can't even seem to find a song that suits and having a difficult time finding a joke that seems funny.
