I might have written 'implies', but 'suggests' seemed kinder.Actually, I can't see the phrase 'on the sly' without thinking of a Roland Topor short story with that title. It concerns a mountaineer, after an accident, eating his own frostbitten leg on the sly while his companions go hungry. I was at a meeting the other day where someone else on the other side of the table had Carpe Diem tattooed on their fingers. Trouble is, Carpe has 5 letters, so the E had to go on the thumb, which you could not always see, so my brain kept reading it as Carp Diem, which it then translated to fish day and then to 'gone fishing'!

Thanks chaps. Indeed 21 again. Lovely birthday celebrations and after about 4 days of eating and drinking I think I'm on the verge of kidney failure!
