Reading Hexagon gig - 2 April 2014

there is a LOT of concrete around the hexagon. It is SO ugly. Good luck not falling over! No idea on security, I haven't been to a gig there in a few years. I just remember concrete and carpet. That's about it!

the job interview I was supposed to have today is now tomorrow, so ill be doing all I can to a) get the job and b) get to Reading. wasn't quite as planned but will endeavour to get my self down there for some more 'frapp action..

I had an email from Bandsintown at 11:37 this morning telling me that Goldfrapp are playing Reading tonight. I'm wondering what is the point of this few-hours-notice email. It's not likely to be the sort of gig where people can pay on the door.

any pubs nr ish to Hexigan any frapers could meet up before the gig in?

Got to tidy up some tribunal paperwork in the library n find my hell hole acomodation soon.

I was thinking the Oakford Social Club opposite the train station might be best for people coming in via that way? It's still a 10 minute walk from the Hexagon but I don't know of anywhere around that way that wouldn't stick you to their floor. There are the usual divey pubs in the town centre but I don't know my arse from my elbow as to which are any good.

My mobile number's somewhere in the abyss that is that epic Brighton thread over on FB so if you want to drop me a text feel free (As I can't check this thing for crap on my phone). Think Laura's planning to get to Reading somewhere around 5.. which is when I finish work so that's handy!

If someone wants to suggest somewhere a bit closer to the Hexagon where I won't catch TB then I'm happy to go there :)

Does anyone know what time the action is likely to start, the only thing on the ticket or elsewhere I can see is that the doors open at 7pm

Lack of wifi is driving me mad. Im gonna go back to my b n b and get changed. Hopefully someone will av found a pub. I found a weatherspoons with no wifi. Well done me.

Ok, thanks for that....I remember the last time I went to see them the ticket said 7.30 and they came on after 9

And they lied Reading is posher than I thought. Less ugly. Few old churches abbey flowers. Reminds me of Bedford. Has a John lewis & lakeland shop so posher than Northampton.

Sound-wise this was the best Goldfrapp concert in 2014! Wow.
