Tori Amos' first four solo albums were phenomenal! A defining part of the 90's for me and a major part of the soundtrack to my teen years.

I used to be quite a Tori listener, but became less interested after To Venus And Back. For me she never really recovered her greatness. Scarlet's Walk was the last album I actually liked and listened to (post From The Choirgirl Hotel). It is rather sad for me really, because I got all excited when she announced a new album.

Bjork, PJ and Tori were my faves in the 90s. Mid to late 90s, I would have ranked them
1) Tori, 2) Bjork and 3) PJ

Late 90s to mid 00s:
1) Bjork, 2) Tori and 3) PJ

Since mid 00s to now:
1) PJ, 2) Bjork and 3) Tori

Completely agree, she lost me after To Venus and Back but, I was so very pleased with Night Of Hunters (her last album)...every time she releases a new one I get excited and run out to buy it in hopes of reclaiming some piece of my youth. Damn nostalgia!

I was (and am) a huge Bjork and PJ fan as well. That "Hips, Tits and Lips" cover made my year. Bjork's Homogenic is still my fave album ever and Tori's Boys For Pele and PJ's Is This Desire have all remained firmly entrenched in my top ten for well over a decade.

Got to go update my playlists on my phone now. ;)

So some of the albums/bands I was obsessed with many years ago I am less excited by today (i.e. if i heard them for the first time today would maybe not be drawn to them)... BUT they still have an emotional pull and helped me form my taste today. So should they still be in the list?

I know what you mean , I`m suspicious of "Greatest Albums of all Time" , when `classic` albums are propelled to the top , when you know the albums in question usage is rustier than Eamonn Holmes exercise bike . Arguably peeps listen to artists Greatest Hits most of all ? I have about 23 squillion albums but my list only used ones I play , some aren`t on there as to be quite honest , there isn`t enough time in the day .
