We *can* prevent spammers joining in the first place (or make it much less likely). This would make joining less enjoyable for the genuine fan. Following today's new spam tactics, maybe a clamp-down is now warranted.

bloody hell,brought spam for my work sandwiches ,if I never return to this forum think of me well,and tell people I had free range chicken,cucumber,sweetcorn,mayo rocket on seeded brown bread as my final meal,cheers.
