How do you feel today?
When I was in hospital recently, we had a morning when the nurses didnt come into the bay till about 10 am. But the breakfast lady came round at 7.15 - so all us patients ate our breakfast in the dark. Come to think of it, the "orange juice&q…

`Tales Of Us` - Reviews By Us
Meanwhile, my feeling is that TOU will probably take its place alongside 7T as a very, very good album. FM did the creative spadework, like sinking a new mineshaft into the hillside of human existence. With BC, Alison and Will entered the shaft an…

Since lala holds up Van Gogh as the acme of artistic integrity, it might be interesting to take a look at the man's own letters.. From them, it's clear that he saw getting enough money together as absolutely essential to producing good wor…

Interesting post, lala, but the "sell out" question is a bit of an academic argument. I'd tend to agree that if you make art in order to get rich, it's likely that you're going to end up with cynical, market-oriented crap. …

Interesting birdsong in the prelude. In the first sequence, its hard to make out, but it seems there is a Nightingale and maybe a Willow Warbler in there. The cicada noise over the top suggests that this is either a single recording taken from somew…

Caught up with the final Top of the Lake. Most of the loose ends tidied, though a slightly unsatisfactory feeling that, when it came down to it, there was less to the whole thing than was promised when it started out. Like life, i guess.

A bit of trivia here - the birdsong at the start and end are Chaffinches and Great Tits. Typical British woodland sound around late April/May, before the summer warblers arrive.

^Yeah, Will has always used a highly sexualised image to promote the band. Little minx. @mode_devotion. A dignified reply, sir. Well played.
