How did you get into Goldfrapp?
Some interesting characters. Old names no longer posting but they pass through and graze the fresh grass occasionally if you know where to look. Nice to have some new blood and fresh perspectives. There's a first gig thread and several others …

Supernature.... best to worst
At last year's gigs, they included You Never Know in the set list and it grew on me a lot. The synth bass stabs really punched in the chest. Particularly the end section. It almost parted your hair ! It's become my favourite in this album.

Still on a dark path at the moment of skulls with the Nursery Rhymes Stripped Bare series. One of these, 4 & 20 Blackbirds, is currently on exhibition at First Site, which is a rather funky contemporary art space and gallery in Colchester, Brit…

I loved this little cat picture with a cat examining the bumps on another grumpy looking cats head. A nice little touch is the Phrenology head on the table in the shape of a cats head. This was part of a whole series of cat inspired pictures by anot…

This is a straight jacket for young women. It looked very delicate to be honest, almost like a bodice rather than the thick jackets you would normally associate.

This is a 'Strong Dress'. Basically, a dress that was worn by female patients who would rent their clothes and then use the shreds to self harm. A modern version of this is still used in certain circumstances.

I had the privilege today to pay an educational visit to the Royal Bethlem Hospital in London to look at some of their mental health facilities. Bethlem is the oldest psychiatric facility in the world, originally dating from 1249 ( not on this site …

I like the sound of Under Neon Knights by the Chemical Brothers and St Vincent. I really think her vocal sounds like Alison.

He's a sweetheart but also a pain. He cannot have soft toys as, like Nigel Benn, he is the dark destroyer. Only tonight he was round the Appy's and maimed a Donkey and a Lion. That's more pocket money he's giving up !

True, many a great song has been laid down in 10 minutes. I am of the opinion though that, in this case, it is only in the breverty of effort that it will share comparison.

Sam Smith claims it only took him 20 minutes to write the song - it shows. To think they could have had a unique theme song by Alison, full of emotion, and beautifully crafted by Will :-( Hi Peter. Seems a long time since we have seen you here. All…

I assume it's been resized, this photo? And photo shopped to look smooth and strangely appealing? It's about 5 inches long, so I would say pretty average. Seriously, I did wonder if such a thing could be ...'abused' . Trust me,…
