Love Paul McGann. So amazed to see this with no spoilers. How did they keep that one secret?

The red metallic apples are so Supernature. It's Anya Gallacio's Rêvons d' or and is solid bronze. Not my taste in sculpture but a massive symbol of nature, intrusion and temptation.

Clay definitely choked me up, and I saw people crying at the gig. Stranger, for some reason made me catch my breath when I saw it live. I think TOU is essentially a mourning album (for obvious reasons) with a lot of grief translated into stories and…

COOL!!!!!!!!!!!! Some of the displayed items are somewhat disturbing, but they're cool nevertheless! It's amazing how something as beautiful as Goldfrapp's music could be forged from such darkness and pain. I feel like I have a bett…

Some striking examples on this page, including a brown paper bag, which makes for a very nice hat... http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/whats-on/music/alison-goldfrapp-shines-light-dark-6205533

You're very welcome A_is_A. I went armed with cameras but they said no pictures, otherwise I'd do a full colour review!

Well, it's quite an intimate experience, when you look at Alison's childhood books. She has a gothic sense of style, as we know, and this is prominent in the Grimm's Fairy Tales and their macabre illustrations which are a feature of t…

Went to the exhibition yesterday with a couple of Frapp Freaks. It's like going inside Alison's mind, and ties the whole catalogue of Goldfrapp into some kind of coherent map of childhood, taste in art and cinematic influences. While some …

The City and the Pillar by Gore Vidal (original ending) would chime very nicely with Clay. One of the first mainstream gay novels from the 50s, which was controversial for depicting gay men as... normal. You just know things are not going to be easy…

In those days it came under 'work for hire' and the BBC often payed a flat fee for an idea, with no royalties. The guy who designed the Daleks only ever earnt £200 for his work.

Yes, it's amazing how they've hidden 11 red herrings in there too... not sure how miniature Yetis and a Racnoss add up in the 50th. Have to wait and see.

i'd really like to listen Laurel and Simone instumentals, recently i've also discovered the "reversed" version of the TOU songs, it's quite fascinating and strange. Reversed? Like backwards? Where did you find them?

@Vesper I agree, I was a little surprised at the plots for the movies. They've pushed some boundaries, and added a whole new layer to the album. And of course they are beautiful. Alison has never looked so good. what's even more surprising…
