What`s the last film you watched ?
^^ I adore that documentary - it really is everything that anybody interested wants it to be, isn't it. The industrial actian via t-shirts bit was a great insight into just how badly the latter end of shooting was descending into. My other rea…

Kate Bush - Before the Dawn (was the spoiler-free thread)
It's not the ticket price that'll make this impossible for many, it'll be the actual chance of getting a ticket! Just work out haw many rabid fans will want one or more considering there's a backlog of want since 1979 - that…

Goldfrapp scans & photos
I know it's probably immoral to ask... But,would somebody be kind enough to scan that beautiful picture of Alison in a white suit from deluxe version of Tales of Us?The one with the dark background & fog all over? It's gorgeous and I c…

Two hours after seeing "Under The Skin" I'm still emotionally & mentally scrambled, maybe even more so than when it ended. Imagine if Kubrick at his most obtuse had done "Man Who Fell To Earth" and had it soundtracked b…

^^ It's singular, selfish, bloody-minded to it's aim and very much better for it. It's quite something.

Latest Purchase....
Wowser. Just tried to buy the Felt Mountain and Black Cherry 'little books' on eBay without success. Yikes. Let's just say that it's apparent that they're still VERY much in demand!

Bowie - The Man Who Sold The World Arguably one of the greatest rock albums ever made ;) Absolutely! Between Visconti going in hard on the bass and enough twin guitar attack to keep Thin Lizzy and Maiden happy it's an unapologetic rock album …

Whatever happened to the Goldfrapp fans?
I know they were there up until at least the Supernature tour and I think (it's early and I'm yet to have my first cuppa) that they were also around on the Head First / Hits tour too? Maybe (in many ways) the newer stuff needs less bluste…

The birthday thread
Hadn't realised until I saw Laura's mention just now over in the GMB part of the Twitterverse. She's got a job interview this afternoon so I hope it turns out to be a lovely birthday gift for her one way or the other.

Of all bizarre but wonderful things out there I'm finally catching up with Matt Berry's "Kill The Wolf" prog-folk album from last year. Yes, that Matt Berry from the many, many wonderful comedy telly things. It's not a jok…

Exclusive! Drew - Clockwork Mix
Finally had chance to give it a listen - lovely stuff. Always nice to get a remix that is different to, yet still retains some sympathy with, the style/mood of the original.

It's a shame Will didn't make an appearance especially as this was a unique event =(( Looking at the film credits I think he was 174% concentrating on getting the sound mix right for the live show. Even if we didn't get to see him…

what a fluke this "live" film was
Exactly as stevil says and as I'd mentioned in the main thread as far as I can tell from other simulcasts I've attended and the one I was at last night the central stream out from the studios seemed to be fine or we'd have all had sim…

Have to echo a few other comments - that segue out of the films into the live set with Alison and her little bike was genius. Suddenly it was "Oooh, we're at the gig bit!" and away they went. Very nicely staged indeed.

I'm only five Metro stops (15mins tops) from the cinema yet I'm itching to leave the house already. Argh! The other weird thing with a numbered cinema seat is not having to queue at all. It's all very odd.
