I just wish her and Will would reunite, it just doesn't feel the same without them together.Alison made a post a while ago about the struggles she has as a solo artist and how other artists seem to excel as solo artists even though they've been in the biz for the same length of time (I have a feeling she was referring to Roisin Murphy, but I can't be sure) anyway, the vulnerability of the post she made really hit home that we all doubt ourselves. It upset me a little bit to see how her confidence waned. But the comments that she received surely should have been a real boost for her! :) Lots of love came about for her.

There is an element missing that was present in 'Goldfrapp', especially the first few albums. Utopia just came up on shuffle as I'm typing this, and what a breath of fresh air this song still is. It's so cinematic, evocative and yet so melodic and accessible, like a lot of Goldfrapp tracks. Alison's solo material is obviously very Goldfrapp sounding (with her being the voice and 50% of the partnership and all) but there is an undeniable magic that is made when her and will come together. I understand why they'd want a break after almost 20 years of working together - but when the last album came out 8 years ago and they are suspiciously silent about reuniting, you start to wonder if the break will ever end.
