Hannah Reid has a beautiful voice. The song ‘Rooting For You, where she sings the first 2 minutes a cappella in the video is just spine tingling stuff. I read up about her and she is a Contralto, as opposed the Alison, who is normally classified as a Lyric Soprano.
The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ. Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit. Shall lure it back to cancal half a line, Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.
I have a growing penchant for music that contains hidden, subtle power. London Grammar seems to typify that for me. They are like this incredible fusion of classical and rock&roll. I love the way the music composition seems to be constructed with devotion to highlighting the vocal power and subtle emphasis of Hannah Reid. It's awesome.
I am so tired of the bashingly loud perception of rock&roll that seems to be the mainstream view. I can't believe I put up with it for most of my life.
Our Frapp Fam colleague @Minsku lives there. We still speak on Twitter occasionally.

I actually found out about London Grammar via an interview, I believe it was, with Alison, who was quoted complementing Hannah's performance on Wasting My Young Years. I subsequently got to see them perform live at a small venue in Seattle.
Enjoying some of their album so far. Don’t think anything will quite capture the feeling of listening to ‘Hey Now’ in the summer of 2013, but i’m glad they are evolving and doing a slightly different sound!
