Little Bird end lyrics
  • I've searched everywhere and couldn't find the answer.
I thought the best place to ask would be here on the message board.
My question is, what are the lyrics at the end of the song, "Little Bird?"
    I think maybe I'm hearing these ...?

LA LA LA LA LA LA LAAAAA
Don't let it store in your skin
Don't let them lie on then run
You let me down get on your way
You left us down in here
You let us down drowning in pain
    Hidden the lie within

  • Dam, really?

    I've always heard somethin' like

    Julll-lly you're never alone
Shoot all your stars down on me
    Julll-lly down on me
    Yellow star, shoot your light

(Funny how different people interpret sound differently- but honestly (?) Could very well be I just have a starlight fetish)

  • I've even checked with Genius and they have nothing.
But if you listen closely she is singing something.
I always thought the song reminded me of the fairytale, "Fitcher's Bird."
And if you read that tale, it sorta makes sense.
When I ask about this on other socials I get no reply.

  • It's one of those things where you must listen on headphones whilst reading her lips things I guess. You will find this social site to be somewhat quiet as well, but interesting nonetheless. I believe Pied Crows really can talk, or mimic..I'll post on Super Nature thread

  • It certainly is difficult to tell, i've found a lot of Seventh Tree utilises Allison's knack for making incomprehensible lyrics
Soon be nothing of this world.
  • It doesn't necessarily mean anything. Quite a few songs feature Alison in full free form vocal interpretation mode, a la Liz Fraser, using the voice as a musical instrument in its own right, or as it puts it on her Wiki page, 'not relying on any recognizable language than on the subjective sounds and textures of verbalized emotions'. Perhaps if she has another 'ask me anything' session on Twitter, it would be a good subject to engage her on.
The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ.
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit.
Shall lure it back to cancal half a line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.
  • Welcome btw @onceuponatime & @MarcoB
Nice to have new blood on this board. Worth having a troll through all the threads as there are a few where you can post a little more info so we get to know you. Let us know if you need any insight as to how this cranky site works.
Have fun. Watch out for the thin ice!

Thank you! Oh don't worry ... i'm an old wise relic ;)

It's just not knowing exactly what's being sung drives me crazy.
I don't have a twitter or Facebook account.
Maybe a magical Deer would appear! ;)
