In honour of her birthday, my favourite song about a girl called Alison, by Elvis Costello The simple, clean guitar work on this is impeccable, especially the end section under the repeated line, my aim is true! It's from the viewpoint of the singer and a girl he once knew, lost touch with, but occasionally received information about and how she had fallen on harder times. He's caught up with her again and wants her to know he would like to be with her again and his intentions are honourable....
