    Yeah, it's for kids. By their own admission, if you are the wrong side of 25, they don't want you. Sort of like Logan's Run, which I imagine is a bit before your time, but the same principal.

    I couldn't figure out the language Lisa Gerrard was singing in at first. Turns out it's her own made up language, in other words "idioglossia"

    In respect to such work she has said, "I sing in the language of the Heart. It's an invented language that I've had for a very long time. I believe I started singing in it when I was about 12. Roughly that time. And I believed that I was speaking to God when I sang in that language."

    Hmm, Angel language...I must now decipher it, :)

    Listen to DCD "Sanvean," "Cantara," and "Summoning of the Muse" for some of her best work. You can hear her sing in English on "The Wind that Shakes the Barley" (DCD), "The Human Game," "All Along the Watchtower," and "Sleep."

    I was blessed to catch DCD live in 2012.

    She also sings in Italian on Handel's Largo from Xerxes. It's on her first solo album, 'The Mirror Pool.'

    I like this because when a man sings it, it's called rap. When a woman does it, it's more like poetry.

    This is a poem I wrote for a friend who has recently lost someone close to her-



    Believe, when I say
    Clear water of morning lake
    Rises from itself
    To become one with
    the sky.

    Sleep In The Mojave Desert


    Out here there are no hearthstones,
    Hot grains, simply. It is dry, dry.
    And the air dangerous. Noonday acts queerly
    On the mind's eye erecting a line
    Of poplars in the middle distance, the only
    Object beside the mad, straight road
    One can remember men and houses by.
    A cool wind should inhabit these leaves
    And a dew collect on them, dearer than money,
    In the blue hour before sunup.
    Yet they recede, untouchable as tomorrow,
    Or those glittery fictions of spilt water
    That glide ahead of the very thirsty.

    I think of the lizards airing their tongues
    In the crevice of an extremely small shadow
    And the toad guarding his heart's droplet.
    The desert is white as a blind man's eye,
    Comfortless as salt. Snake and bird
    Doze behind the old maskss of fury.
    We swelter like firedogs in the wind.
