  • And that's my Beatles binge for a year
I take the needle off the Technics and put it in my vein
  • Beverley Knight - Affirmation

I take the needle off the Technics and put it in my vein
  • Edwyn Collins - A Girl Like You

A slight detour on the road to The Beatles...

(And, yes, believe it or not, Edwyn Collins composed this song)

  • From Saturday's Hi-Fi listening sesh is this; the Human League - League Unlimited Orchestra Love and Dancing which is a remix album mainly around songs on the Dare album. Not unlike Goldfrapp's "We are Glitter" album.
    This is side 1.

The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ.
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit.
Shall lure it back to cancal half a line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.
  • Our full playlist was
Me, myself, I and Ma-Me-O-Beach by Joan Armatrading from album of the same name
Babooshka, Delius and Blow Away by Kate Bush from Never Forever
More than This, The Space Between and Avalon by Roxy Music from Avalon
Los Endos and Entangled by Genesis from A Trick of the Tail
Dazed and Confused by Led Zepplin from Remasters
Hard Times, Love Action (I Believe in Love) and Don't You Want Me by Human League from Love and Dancing
Decks Dark, Desert Iskand Disk and Ful Stop by RadioHead from A Moon Shaped Pool
Scheherazade Symphonic Suite Op. 35 by Rimsky-Korsakov by the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.

When we got the system home and set it up, we then had Black Cherry and Tales of Us.

  • Jimi Hendrix - All Along The Watchtower

(actually written by Bob Dylan, I just particularly like this version)

It's very annoying, by the way, how few studio versions of his songs are available online.  I mean, it's okay for me, I have my favorites (Bold As Love, EXP (not for everybody), Up From The Skies (√), Voodoo Child Slight Return, Little Wing, Crosstown Traffic) but I do like to share.

  • The Beatles (I warned you) - Your Mother Should Know

Isn't it?  I do try to only play songs that knock my socks off. Ha!  Considering I listen to music so seldom nowadays, I have to be picky.  About the only time I listen to music is when I post on here.  Hard to believe, really.
