The show is on the BBC at the moment. Just seen episode 3 of 6. Creepy and psychological thriller with a large gothic overtone in a contemporary setting, with a dash of child abduction/Satanism thrown in.

I'm not a fan of Sting, but this is a beautiful song; kinda marred by Cheb Mami's horrific crime though.

He's a man. He sings a style of Algerian folk music called rai. "Cheb" is I guess what you'd call a title for rai singers.

I used to have a desert rose. It was beautiful when I brought it home, but I was never able to get it to bloom afterwards. It died one winter.
