Surround yourself by the people that care about you, and your friends on here. Try not to allow your work to consume you. It is only a job. This is what happened to me with Nursing. The slow realisation that it's not the greatest profession out there. Let's just say it took a lot of will power to look beyond the situation.
It seems as though Western society is at a nexus point. Family values and parental influence at at an all time low. My D.O.D back in the 70's said that nothing would come out of the interference on society by Social Workers. Seems he was right.

It's the Internet that has corrupted society, parts of it anyway. Nothing original in that POV of course. Imagine my horror while I was browsing for my horoscope the other day at that posh country house and up popped a page of porn! I nearly choked on my scone! Did my phone pick it up via Bluetooth from someone nearby? I just feel nowadays that I can't walk down the street without being suspicious and mistrustful of everyone. I always smile and say hello to passers by but wonder about the ones who don't even give eye contact. Maybe they think I'm the mad one for being friendly. I'm always wrapped up in my own thoughts and stresses but always make time for those little tiny pleasantries. Starting to give up on doing it now tho...
No Kat- I think too that people aren't as friendly as what they could be. I dont know- it's like people are frightened or have social anxiety. I will admit that I am shy in parts. So if i met you all i would be proper nervous actually and very very shy.
But a smile can really make someone's day. It's affectious and is telling the other person 'I am approachable'.
Didn't know you were into Horoscopes Kat.
I am a Virgo. Which I kinda like in some ways. But we can be fiery people, opinionated (oops) but worry about everything and anything.
Those people that you pass when walking probably (I'm fact I would say highly) likely have a lot going on. It's not an easy world to be living in. As we are all flagrantly aware.
Living in the countryside, people are a lot more friendly than in towns and cities. Always waving thanks at cars that slow down on the country lanes when walking the dark destroyer. 99/100 wave back. Try that in a town or city! Distrust is rife and is continually ramped up by the press in these post Brexit vote days. Many will have you believe it is the foriegners and immigrants fault for every nasty part of our society, when the truth is that we are all immigrants if you go back far enough and being white and indigenous does not make you above blame or in the right. Just consider the turd that is Farage. Any Sci-Fi fan will tell you that is a word meaning plague and extreme sickness.

Yeah, I get that everyone is wrapped up in themselves and their own thoughts. I used to be painfully shy but I've largely conquered that now. You do as you get older I guess- a case of " take it or leave it".
I'm not sure whether you are using a phone or a computer but you should be able to enable a pop-up blocker to get rid of that kind of crap. It just may be more difficult on a phone.
What you encountered was a new window, right? That's called a pop-up. On computers, every version of web browser (i.e Chrome, Firefox, etc) have a pop-up blocker. That should keep all of those unwanted windows from popping up.
My apologies, as I reread what you wrote, I'm guessing it wasn't a pop-up. ". Imagine my horror while I was browsing for my horoscope the other day at that posh country house and up popped a page of porn! I nearly choked on my scone!"
