Goldfrapp live
  • All this chat about whose going to which gig, and how many times they have seen them has given me an idea for another thread. Where and when have you seen them. The champion must be that Italian scamp @giancarlo, and I look forward to him writing them all out, if he can remember, but here are some statistics from my times of Frapp homage.
Number of gigs to date - 18. 3 more booked so by the end of the U.K. Autumn tour, it will be 21 ( would have been 22 except for the Copenhagen no show)
Furthest distance traveled from home to gig - 893 miles, Sala Razzamatazz in Barcelona. (@A_is_A can top that! but I've done much further for Muse & U2).
Closest gig to home - 73.2 miles, either Corn Exchange or The Junction at Cambridge.
Most visited venue - Brixton Acedemy at 3 but will become 4 in November.
First gig - NEC Birmingham 2004 when they supported Duran Duran
Last gig - Roundhouse London March 2017. Will become Brixton Acedemy in November and hopefully many more in the future.
Gigs outside the UK - Currently 3 but will become 5 in October.
Tours - 6. Black Cherry, Supernature, 7th Tree, Head First, Tales of Us, Silver Eye.
    The list in full

    Flow Festival in Helsinki 2017

Really wish I could have seen them live more often by now. :( But alas, they don't actively tour the Nordic countries and I'm not rich, so... :))

  • Oh come on M, it wasn't that bad (apart from the disrespectful Hoorays in the crowd chatting) We got to meet you and I got to meet @A_is_A.
Not a bad experiance all things considered!
And now Brixton. Always a great gig as the hall is not to big, but not too small either.
Glad you're back on the board.

  • Well, all things considered, it wasn't that bad. But I still would have loved to hear Tales of Us in its entirety AND with a live orchestra. So I will forever be bitter about that.

Hopefully the audience will be a bit more respectful this time around in London. Ideally I would have opted for the European tour, but unfortunately it's too soon after my holiday in Prague, Amsterdam and Brussels at the beginning of September.
