Well, me speaking Lithuanian was a long shot !
Guilty as charged. Wrong genderisation? Wrong tense? Wrong everything?

For starters, we start all new sentences with capital letter, just like you!

pakankamai teisingas is quite..  mechanical translation and doesn't sound right, probably because -as ending here is male ending.. and it's not clear if you are teisingas refers to male or female word.. I guess closest saying to fair enough would be tebunie ~ tegu būna (kaip sakai) = let it be (as you say)

Apologies. The translation did not capitalise the first letter, and I copied/pasted as it was. Gerai was a separate translation of 'OK' and we would say, OK, fair enough, with only the start of that sentence capitalised, so I capitalised the Gerai with the rest lower case. The beauty of English is that, although there are rules, we break them all the time and everybody understands and no-one gives a toss apart from pedants. The absence of genderisation is just.....liberating.
Anyway, happy to log you as a Lithuainian. :)>-

The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ.
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit.
Shall lure it back to cancal half a line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.
  • Well, you can add me to your list as working&dwelling in the Netherlands, @UT !
To be more specific: in the area of Rotterdam; one of the most vibrant cities of our country.

Unfortunately it is also a city where the pre-orders of Silver Eye are nowhere to be seen yet...

  • Who knew that UT was such a nerd? Or is this evidence that he is working for some not-so covert intelligence gathering institution ( or maybe telesales!!). :-B
Yes, on arriving back home last night from our break in the SW, we were greeted by winds gusting over the fens and the homely stench of chicken sheds and cabbage. Slept like a log!
  • Kat everything was in places where you left It? No signs of UT poking around when you weren't there?
  • Here's what's available only going back two weeks.

Now, that's awful nice, UT!  A true labor of love.  I like the way you separated into locales.
  • Turqs- anymore talk of UT poking around in my private places and someone is going to get upset!
    ( no, thanks for asking).
  • Add me to the list, another Brit staying in Edinburgh :-)
Soon be nothing of this world.
