I'd like something more akin to this to come to light from Silver Eye;
or this;
...if it were to be remixed.
Something with a bit of beef, as the original song has enough electronic-ness to not need a daft little swish of someones artistic flare of cut & paste.
I almost forgot, my personal favourite Goldfrapp remix which fits beside those two examples nicely;
God I miss the days of experimental remixes, or even just ones that worked on elevating the original song. Why is it remix now automatically means it's made for a club, every single time?
I like the Joe Goddard remix, I think I'll probably listen to it more than actual Anymore.
There are a few remixes I listen to more of than the original versions. Lovely 2 C U I love but T Raumschmiere's remix is addictive as is his remix of Train.
I really am not keen on Rocket but the Richard X Eight Four remix ohmygod, it takes it where it needs to go, it's like an actual space adventure. Fly Me Away Ladytron version aswell is great.
I wouldn't really get my hopes up for much in the way of mixes or special releases this era. The level of promotion and investment from Mute is nowhere near what it was up from Black Cherry through Seventh Tree. It all seems more in line with a lazy "alert known fans and hope for the best" strategy that tends to happen with veteran acts.
