I downloaded Anymore onto my studio system last night and cranked it up with a bit of EQ and some extra reverb and it sounded EPIC ! I share the view it could have done with a slightly more 'progressive' middle 8 ( or 32 ! ), but who am I to critique Mssrs Goldfrapp and Gregory. I whizzed through the other albums and pulled out these other synth classics and put them into a playlist in ascending BPM order. Shiny and Warm is s cracking 172 BPM ! Average is 125 BPM.

The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ. Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit. Shall lure it back to cancal half a line, Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.
At no point did that remix get down, felt stressed just listening to it
I know what you mean. The original song does not have a particularly complex structure. The only nod towards 'middle 8' is the section where they distort Alison's 'I can't wai, wai, wai wait, which remains in the same chord structure as the rest of the song, so Joe has nowhere else to take it. On We Are Glitter, the original songs have far more twists and turns to play with. Stretching 1 basic chord sequence to over 6 minutes was always going to be a challenge!
