Shall lure it back to cancal half a line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.
  • Thanks UT- you don't know how hard I worked on that show..just this scene alone took hours upon hours of rehearsal-

Bizarrely, I am sitting here watching an episode of Charmed right now.

  • uh uh. Try "Tight ass!" or "That's one fine ass, mama!" or "Girl's got some boo-TAY!" or simply "Ba-donk-a-donk!"
If I were dead, could I do this?

I think that's what comes up when you type in the name "Iuventus" in the Urban Dictionary.. :D

  • I can only wish. I wasn't blessed with a meaty posterior.

  • I always preferred Pheobe to be honest. Piper looked really good in some episodes and them Mumsy a lot of the time. Pheobe was like a stick of rock but with 'Trouble' written all the way through her.

  • The ebb and flow of this site is just fascinating.
  • So, let me see if I've got this whole atheist point of view figured out.

    Is it,

"All of existence is what I see and, since I can't see beyond my own death, what I see is all there is."?

    or,

Is it a violent reaction to all of the violence perpetrated in the name of maniacal, inflexible, religious dogma, thereby disregarding all spirtiualism in one fell swoop?

  • Hey ww,

You can believe in reincarnation and still be an atheist. You can believe that the Earth is shaped like a doughnut and still be an atheist. You can think the Big Bang theory is just a TV programme and still be an atheist, you can think the Catholic Church is humankind's geatest accomplishment and still be an atheist.

You can believe anything, provided you don't believe that there is a god.

There is no "atheist point of view" beyond that.

  • My view is that their is no God, at least not in the accepted form of a man with a white beard who sits in judgement, while allowing all the evil in the world to perpetuate. Sorry, where I come from, that's bullshit. All this 'God works in mysterious ways' is crap. Happy to be proved wrong but I will require empirical proof.
I do believe in a force that is behind all we know. Call it Mother Nature if you like. Matter cannot be created or destroyed. All the atoms that have and will ever exist are in existence now and have been since what we know as existence began. Call that the Big Bang if you like. When we die, the atoms that make us up are disassembled and then make up something else in the fullness of time. This could explain the Buddhist view of being reincarnated as higher or lower life forms.
I once read that of the trillions of atoms that make us up, we all contain an atom or two that once made up Leonardo Da Vinci.
Sounds a lot like an afterlife to me.

The first point of view sounds a bit like Solipsism.
