  • How does he chew and sing at the time time?
If I were dead, could I do this?
  • If it is, I'll never watch a Bond again. Or buy the glue. Or the envelopes. Huh. Some muppets.
  • ^Or, sniff it?

Sam Smith.  How about a beer? .... No, that's Sam Adams.
  • i was googling news on the artist chosen for the theme. apparently they had been chosen ages ago. now... is it purely coincidental that the frapp are currently being eased back into the studio as Alison tweeted about just a few days ago???

otherwise i was reading articles and polls on popular websites about who should do the theme and some of the artists who were suggested are just plain bonkers. it just got me more and more angry, especially after reading the response comments.
  • I certainly don't hold out a lot of hope.  Even though you would think that people who create a movie would have an ounce of sense, creativity, and insight, but there are too many minions in the way, I guess.  The list goes on and on for Goldfrapp songs that suit Bond without even trying.  "Utopia", "Strict Machine".  For the right Bond movie, they would work.  You just know they would knock it dead, if given the chance.  Sigh.  I wish I had a good contact.  I'd send them a CD.

Ah, well.  The saying, "Change the things you can and accept the things you can't change", comes to mind.  Otherwise, I would get seriously frustrated.  Damned amazing, sometimes, though, the things you can change.
  • maybe the whole Bond thing needs to be put aside..let's have a female version! Directed by Lisa...music by our pals....dunno who the leading lady would be though.
  • Jane Bond?  Whoa!  Cool idea!  That was sort of Halle Barry.
  • I too have thought of that mid-60's jazzy vibe that Goldfrapp can get goin as a BOND THING. So it's not just me, plenty of other fans notice it too. They are just sooooooooooo goooood. Goldfrapp 4ever.
  • Honestly, who else has written songs that can be easily described as Bond songs that were not written for the movie?
  • Nicely put Whickwithy.
  • The names Bong; James Bong !

The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ.
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit.
Shall lure it back to cancal half a line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.
  • LOL BONG

still befuddles me that this has not happened yet

  • Apparently, according to an interview with Director Sam Mendes the theme song is finished.

considering the film still has just over three months to release, don't you find it weird that the theme has already been finished?

AND... didn't Alison tweet a while ago that her and will were working on something...???????
  • I keep waiting to come on here after someone has posted to find a link to an article about the Bond song they wrote.  Ah, well, dreams do, sometimes, come true.

i guess it is unlikely it'll be them. i keep hoping it's them. they have the talent and the sound to pull it off, but you know in terms of marketing the film, the theme is usually done by someone known by the masses.

Skyfall was a good film, but i really believe it only managed to rake in that much cash due to the Olympics and the fact that Adele did the theme...

so who knows... right now i'm hearing that it'll be another Adele song or Muse.
