    We know you like it for the glass slipper stevil.. ;) It does look absolutely GORGEOUS though! Dear Cate, as the evil stepmonster? Do we have a fairytale thread on here? Is that your favorite one stevil?

    In fact, what is everyone's favourite fairytale?..and by everyone, I simply mean the few of us on here. I'll tell ya mine, if you tell me yours! Oh, and the reason why it's your fave...(?)

    On road trips, my grandparents used to play an old narrated version on their 8-track player. I think it matched up to the 1950s marionette short film. It even had some of the songs from Humperdinck's opera.

    Also, the Three Wishes is a story with many versions. It was the basis for WW Jacobs's Monkey's Paw.

    I've heard it told with a wood fairy, Zeus, a witch... I used to use it for differentiated reading lesson. I'd re-written several versions at various reading levels, blah, blah, blah.

    Late at night, with all of us huddled in their giant king-sized bed, my grandfather would tell his own version of the story with spooky sound effects and voices. Lovely memory!

    yes Pony you got me on the glass slipper..i wish Branagh used a little less CGI but i guess it's the standard now.....the costumes!!! i hope it's not an awful film...just standard
