A few years ago I was asking about the pros & cons of the various microwave ovens for sale in Currys/Dixons. The lad working there explained that model x had... 800W power output, 25 litres capacity etc, model y had 900W, 22 litres etc. I soon realised he was reading the specs directly off the display card, which of course everyone could see. I asked about another model which didn't have its capacity listed. He gave it a good long look and said "Well... that one... does not have any capacity." :-S

I'm thinking of the westerns from my childhood, when 'How' was Redskinese for 'Hello' and 'Adios' was Mexicanese for 'Goodbye'.  Did Mexicans ever say 'Hello' in 1950s westerns?  Or the Redskins say 'Goodbye'?  I can't recall them doing so.

Well, I didn't know Mexicans were on westerns too... I guess if they'd ever say "hello" would be an "hola". On the other side, I can say 1950's Mexican movies hardly had words in English. It's funny, but nowadays we actually say "bye", in English, when we say a regular goodbye to friends and family. 

Thank you Caro, that's interesting.  Oh yes, there were Mexicans in old westerns.  They wore sombreros and were often bandits.  And their catch phrase was "Adios, amigo".  I can't remember them saying "Hola", still less "bye".  "Hola" is very similar to "Hello".
