If I were dead, could I do this?
  • I once did an exam of rhetorical questions.
    I got 100%

Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit.
Shall lure it back to cancal half a line,

  • I tell my students that they can quite often find the answers written right in the test.

  • A Roman walks into a bar and says 'Barkeep, a Martinius please'
The barman looks puzzled and says 'do you mean a Martini?'
To which, the Roman replies 'No, if I had wanted a double, I would have ordered one'

OK, I've analyzed this to death, and I've ruined it for myself. Neither martinus nor martini would have been used in the conversation. Well, probably not.

    Roman: mihi martinum da.
    Bartender: volebasne dicere 'martinos'?

My Latin composition is rusty; so, it's possible that the bartender might return to the nominative plural -i ending. But I don't think so, as that would probably be taken as the vocative plural. It's just a big grammatical mess.

    Alackaday! Poo! and all that.

  • It was funny while it lasted. I even passed it along to my old Latin teacher.

  • I'm out with my two gay friends Ben Doone and Phil McCavity :-))
  • We had a delivery of blood packets to the hospital the other day.
We discovered that one of the packs was incorrectly labeled.
It said it was type A but it was a type O.

Most humour does not withstand in-depth analysis.

At least it was not sponsored by the office of the Grand Wizard of the KKK!
I don't fear gay men Iuv. Mrs T and I have been married for 24 years and she still has a number of gay male friends from her art college days. At least 4 that she continues to have regular contact with. They visit us on several occasions a year and are absolutely charming. 2 are brothers. Is gay siblings a common thing? We could have a whole nature/nurture conversation of the back of that. As I have said before, every year they arrange what is called 'the gay weekender' in Frinton, Essex ( very posh) of all places and hire a house and gather to watch the Eurovision Song Contest. Now that is stereotypical behaviour. One of the brothers partners does a drag queen act under the name of Chamonix Aspen (look up on 'tinternet) and he bought his full gear to have a practise through his set. 6 sets of high heels, all size 10.
No homophobes at UT towers ! Be happy. Live and let live.
