If you're flying, the airlines have been rather fastidious about bulging bags lately. I hear they're measuring to the inch.

I always use a strap, sometimes two..if necessary.

  • I'm at the point where a strap won't hold it in, but I might just need to adjust my sack.

If I were dead, could I do this?
  • I find if someone sits on it, I can pull the straps tight enough....you don't want anything slipping out!

  • I hurt myself that way once. Besides, I find that, if anything slips out, I can usually stick it right back in with a little assistance from the bellhop or flight attendant. If you approach them gently, they'll bend over backwards for you.

  • Pull up to the bumper - Grac...Opps, sorry, wrong thread again,
The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ.
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit.
Shall lure it back to cancal half a line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.
  • Make yourself at home. Unpack your bag. I'm sure there are some drawers into which you can shove your things.

  • I always worry about just who has been handling mine, and how carefully they treat it. I prefer to keep it in my own hands for as long as possible. Such a relief when I can finally unzip and unload...
  • LOL HJ ! Classic double entendre! Just go get a Kleenex and make sure you wipe up over there !

  • Oh and for International travelers "Always remove batteries!" Apparently if they touch themselves, it could cause some type of eruption...so it is best to keep them in different locations. It's about safety really. You can then use all your devices once inside your terminal or port of entry.

  • I've never needed a battery to induce an eruption.

  • Suddenly feel like I'm travelling on the Innuendo line, which I think goes between Swiss Cottage and Wood Green.

Tsk!  I suspect (though I may be wrong) that some of you have intended rude things by your posts.  It may be that you're cheeky monkeys who deserve to be spanked, but I can overlook that.  When it comes to playing fast and loose with tube map, though, I must draw the line.  There is no direct line between Swiss Cottage and Wood Green.  The journey involves changing at Green Park.  If you all limited yourselves to journeys on that sort of scale, you wouldn't need to pack a suitcase, and wouldn't be tempted into double entendres.  As Carole King asked, why does no one stay in one place any more?  The album in which posed that question includes a song called Smackwater Jack, which title nobody is to construe rudely.  Is that clear?  Tsk!

Howdy, Stranger!
