Yesterday evening, I attempted to record some of Glastonbury from my Sky box to my DVD recorder. The recorder registered the sound, but not the picture (so, if I look at the DVD, the screen is black). A possibly relevant factor is that I recently switched from Virgin cable to Sky TV.

I can think of 3 possible explanations for the failure to record a picture, and wonder which of them people think the most/least likely:

Sky is blocking DVD recordings of the picture (but not the sound).
My DVD recorder has developed a fault so that it will no longer record the picture. (It still shows the picture when used as a DVD player, but perhaps that doesn't signify.)
There's something amiss with the scart connection between the Sky box and the DVD recorder.

^ Sky boxes always output standard (ie non-high-def) video (and audio) through their scart socket. So the problem is likely to be 2 or 3 I'd say. Maybe you can try to view the DVD recorder's output on your TV (ie rather than viewing the output from the Sky box) while it's recording a channel?

That's it exactly! I hear it everyday around 7:30pm when all the wild neighborhood peacocks say goodnight for the evening. The albinos I spoted on my birthday while out of town but we have loads of them here in the Grove. I love them, I think they're spectacular.

Here's my local multi-colored peacock, ladies. He lives at the Krishna complex where I get good vegan/vegetarian/consciousness food. I call him Cocoa Van; though, in his current home, he's in no danger of being braised.

I've been collecting peacock feathers today with my class. I was going to stick them in my knickers but I don't think I can rock the Supernature look, my bum doesn't look that great in hot pants ^#(^

That's only if you're not wearing heels, otherwise you'd be extremely lucky...or so the superstition goes-
