  • Oh it's terrific! Some things I've never heard before. It's a cross between a music appreciation class and the most fantastic, moody and romantic mix tape. Love it! She should be on every Sunday!

    LOVE tasted CRITICAL
  • Anyone recording her comments? Or will the whole show be available to listen to later?
  • Are you ripping it too, HJ? I can't catch it live but am set it to pull the stream as soon as it hits 'listen again' a short time after.

Have just seen the playlist and it's pretty damn amazing - so, so much good stuff on there!

  • Great Sunday afternoon mix, most of it I'd never heard before...I imagine her dinner parties are fab! It was nice to hear a bit of Bjork and Cocteau Twins too, and I really liked the Air track. I hope she remains writing and performing for many years yet, but i could see ( or rather hear) her as a DJ in the future!

Yeah, I enjoyed nearly every song. At least 3 are encouraging me to check out that artist's other work :-)

  • t'was a very good show. two hours well spent, loads of stuff i was familiar with though i did 'shazam' a couple to remind me of titles for reference later :)
i like that alison just gets as much music stuffed in as possible, it bugs me sometimes when dj's blab on. i wanna hear the tunes!
  • Already ripped but just need to check it, de-mux it out of the aac flv it's currently in and into a nice friendly mp3 for folks to enjoy.

Will linky here once done :)

  • ^thank you carpy :)
  • That was a very, very, very enjoyable show. There was a couple of artists I expected her to feature but some FAB surprises. Brought a lot off iTunes afterwards so thanks Alison for opening my mind to some truly great music. Second career methinks :D
  • Thanks for the playlist, carpy.
Have you listened to it yourself, yet?

That Yma Sumac track... how unexpected was that!? Well, I'd never heard of her. Amazing stuff. And Alison gave nice little introductions to each song, knowing just when to shaddap and play the music. As Lou mentioned!

  • I have albums by 16 of those artists/bands so it looks like she's been rifling through my record collection :D

Not yet - took the chance to rip & upload it whilst watching the F1 AND playing Hearthstone online against other players at the same time.

What's that about Sunday being a day of rest? :))

  • Ta, carps - downloading now.

Oh, and... Keith mentioned, over on facebook, that he will be grabbing audio & editing out the news/bulletin bits, and sharing the resulting file. Which is nice of him.

Howdy, Stranger!
