strange he's so overlooked these days .

Love it, but probably prefer Axis As Bold As Love for some reason.

I went through a hippy phase in high school and listened to alot of Hendrix back then. I remember jacking up "Little Wing" and blaring it from my car, haha! Anywho, I believe unfortunately he's part of the 27 club-

Died at 27 years old, making him a member of the "27 Club"; The 27 Club is a group of prominent musicians who died at the age of 27. Other members include The Rolling Stones co-founder Brian Jones, singer Janis Joplin, The Doors frontman Jim Morrison, Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain and Amy Winehouse.

Wow sounds so cool (the High school hippy but I mean) ;)

I love the lyrics from If 6 Was 9:

If all the hippies cut off their hair,

    I don't care, I don't care.

Did, 'cos I got my own world to live through

And I ain't gonna copy you.

White-collar conservatives flashing down the street

Pointing their plastic finger at me.

They're hoping soon my kind will drop and die,

But I'm gonna wave my freak flag high . . . HIGH!

  • EDIT: Oh, I think sartori and carpy have a football interest. CW, a thread about football in general might have had more response than one just about your team. Just sayin'.

I follow Cardiff City but only in a sometimes being bothered to look up results kinda way or for banter on Facebook with some friends - mainly as I don`t like footballers , they give arrogant bellends a bad name .

And as I work towards the valleys in Wales , all I ever hear is "rugby , flipping rugby , bloody rugby , fucking rugby" all the time ...which I also don`t follow . Its used to fill in the blanks in conversation in the way that "normal" people use the word "..er..." .

  • Listening to The Beatles..I Want You (she's so heavy)

I first read that George Harrison played a Moog Synthesizer on this track and it was one of the first uses of the instrument, custom-made for Harrison. Then I read John Lennon plays it! Does anybody know? The Flaming Lips also do a kick-ass cover of this song.

I don't know, PG, but according to the Beatles bible,  like WW says, Lennon and Harrison did the guitars with Lennon adding the Moog. Read all about it here
