She mentioned Lynch's Lost Highway a few times, and i believe that's even playing at the Performer as Curator exhibition alongside the 1973 version of The Wicker Man and Lotte Reiniger’s Hansel & Gretel.

@iuventus I guess it was mostly Kates imagination. 50 Words for Snow is alluding to the myth of Inuit having 50 different words to describe snow and she picked up that idea and found 50 words herself. Concerning the narrative: Lake Tahoe is about a woman drowning in that lake, in the video her dog is thinking and dreaming about her. I don't know that much more, but most of the stuff comes from the Bushian Universe. I love it, it's time for 50 Words for Snow soon. Sorry for off topic! let's continue with Tales of Us, shall we

Not sure what you're getting at. I'm well aware of the content of 50 Words for Snow. I was simply comparing the black and white motif, snowy backdrop, and and melancholic acoustic sound. Chris Garneau also has a blustery album out this year--possibly influenced by the same. Winter Games
