You probably miss my cup as well, Whick. That’s because I don’t drink tea. Ever. Only coffee. Loads of it. So to bring more value to this thread, I will post a picture of a coffee cup. Not my own, but one I value nevertheless. It is a Turkish-coffee set, of which I made a pic on a terrace in Sarajevo. Turkish coffee tastes heavenly. The coffee is very sweet. It comes in a small metal jug, in which coffee and hot water are mixed. You have to let it set for a while, and then pour it slowly into the cup. Don’t disturb the coffee residue on the bottom of the jug! Some people place a sugar cube on a spoon, let the coffee flow over the sugar cube and then put the cube in their mouth. God that taste is SO GOOD! And then the typical atmosphere of a hot summer evening in Sarajevo… Makes you wish you could stay there forever.
If you use a good quality whole-leaf tea, you can decaffeinate it easily by covering it with hot water for 30-45 seconds and draining. A good tea will take at least several infusions. In fact, for many the aroma will evolve with subsequent infusions.
Decaf coffee still has quite a bit of caffeine--much more than decaf tea.
