I now know every track word for word. Listened it enough times. If i had to say i would put TOU as the 3rd best album. Sticking with Annabel as my fave.

Amazon predict that my copy will arrive tomorrow. I was hoping that might be today, but we've had no post at all, and I don't think we're going to get any.

I'm now at the stage where I can pretty much listen to the whole Tales album in my head without needing any sort of MP3 player, cd or whatever. A weeks near solid play with little else music seems to have etched it into my memory like a 40 odd minute earwarm.

I really should take a break from it for a day or so but....well......you know how it is........

My copy arrived today, and I've listened to it. I like the album, but can't yet distinguish between the songs.

Doing the Supermarket shopping in Asda today, I saw that they had the album at about the same price as Amazon. If I'd gone to Asda of Monday, I suppose I could have bought one then. I'm not sorry that I didn't, though. I think that supermarkets have no business selling CDs, and I shouldn't encourage them.

I was pleased to see that The Big Bang Theory Season 6 is more expensive from Asda than the price I paid at Amazon.

Glad you finally got a copy, Peter. Yes, the songs are certainly less immediately distinguishable than on any previous 'frapp offering. But they do have an individual quality that becomes apparent with time. It's a good one to listen as a whole... rather than dip into. Some of us have been listening on cycle/repeat. :)

I'm sure that the songs will emerge as individuals, given a little time.

And I expect that I'll play the album plenty of times... but not, I think, on cycle/repeat. (Crumbs!)

Just had 40min in the pool, as I normally do on a Friday night. Up, back, repeat.....and repeat....and repeat. Leaves loads of mental time to fill.

Had Clay, Alvar, Simone & Laurel burst into my head at one point or another. Whole big segments of them - vocals, strings, the lot.

Once you've really played this album a lot it truly burrows in deep and won't let go. For a subtle album there's far, far more musical hooks in it than you first realise. It's as sly as it is beautiful.

Just finally getting to play the 24 bit WAVS for the first time - definitely a number things I'd not noticed before shining through.
