Haven't watched that for years. You've put the idea in my head now!
A million fires before your harvest comes. To burn out.
Wear the mask of a heathen. For the moon's lonely eyes.
  • Cloverfield

What a flick! Gimme more like that!

  • I just found out I kinda "know" someone who's in Man Of Steel...
Canadian singer Allison Crowe appears to be in it.
I did an article on her being stuck at a London airport because of some weird xenophobic regulations a couple of years ago.

    Lovely and oddly sexy.
If I were dead, could I do this?

Couple of interesting fillums on HD channels in the U.K. tonight:

    ITV 10:35pm
    Film Inland Empire (2006)
      ITV! Mental.

    BBC2 11:05pm
    Film The Breakfast Club (1985)

Both good movies, although HD is pretty lost on Inland since it was shot entirely on standard def DV. The only way i could describe Inland Empire is hypnotic, it just pulls you in and somehow makes perfect sense by being nonsensical whilst you watch it unfold, but when it's over you can't make head or tails of it again. I still need to watch the 75 minutes of deleted scenes strung into their own side movie, More Things That Happened.

i need to give Inland another look. i saw it once at my university's film theatre with my housemate. we took pillows. i have to say, it was probably the 10hrs worth of time ive ever been bored watching a film. BUT, i do often think about it. so maybe it left a mark, as i said. really need to watch it again.
  • More like Cloverfield Alan? Well it's not exactly like Cloverfield but it's a great scary mockumentary movie.

    The Frankenstein Theory.

A scientist believes Frankenstein's monster to be fact not fiction and takes a documentary crew out to the arctic tundra to try and find the beast.
It was a good scary treat, fairly original premise and featured beautiful shots of Canada, it also had humour in it not in a comedic sense but a human sense so felt natural.

It is isn't it? I likened it to Nuts in May on the old forum. It's just a fucked up version.

Went to the cinema to see it and loved it.

How about District 9? I have just watched for the first time I've seen it since it came out, what a movie.
