So, first complete spin while tucked under a duvet, uncompressed WAVs through my trusty open-backed Sennheissers.
Wow.
Absolutely clear now, in its final studio form, that it truly is its own thing. Yes, it shares more with FM and 7T than the rest of the catalogue but that's where the genetics end.
So many little moments to take in but on first gut-reaction I'm adoring Alison exploring the lower end of her voice on Laurel. Stunning.
No duff tracks, gorgeous production and a sympathetic non-bricked mastering. So pleased.
A million fires before your harvest comes. To burn out.

It's like your ears wandering into an all-encompassing Giallo / noir hybrid - mysterious, dramatic, beautifully paced and utterly engrossing.
Very glad Alison has rolled out a whole swathe of MumbleVoice™ too - just feels more intimate and inclusive somehow when she sings like that.

How ironic. I ordered digi-download so as I'd be able to listen to it sooner than if I'd gone for CD.

I have to say upon 1st hurried listen at 9am I think it sounded better at MIF. But thats not in my livingroom.We all look better in the dark.

They are literally awful. They mess stuff up all the time and their customer service is shit.Please do yourself a favor and avoid Sandbag at all costs.
